A new email notification to your booker

Under any part of the notifications workflow, you can add a new notification to your booker.

To create a new notification, select your booking page from the Dashboard and navigate to Notifications > Actions.

Select the part of the workflow you'd like to send an email notification to the booker (after a new booking is made, if the booking is rescheduled, if the booking is cancelled, reminder before the booking, after the appointment is made).

Click the  + to create a new notification. Select email as the type of notification.

If you are creating an email notification in the section "After new booking made", it will ask you if the confirmation is going to you or the booker. Otherwise, it will just create a email notification that you can customize to the booker.

  1. Edit the name of this notification so you can easily identify it in the Notifications section
  2. Set when after the action is taken this email will be sent
  3. Edit the From email address to change the email address this notification sends from
  4. Edit the To email address by selecting your bookers email from the dropdown menu. If you collect more than one email address on the booking form, select "Custom email address from the dropdown" and enter the shorthand codes for each email you want to send an email to, ie. {EMAIL1}, {EMAIL2} etc.
  5. Edit the subject line of the email to catch your bookers attention
  6. Edit the email content so that it is customized with the information your booker needs about this booking. Use shorthand codes from your booking form to reference in information your booker has provided.
Check the cancel/reschedule links at the bottom of the default text. Links in the email to your booker should be {CANCEL} or {RESCHEDULE}. This will trigger emails to you if the booker triggers a cancellation or reschedule.

A new SMS notification to your booker

To add a new SMS notification to your booker, first make sure you have first purchased SMS credits on your Account page.

You'll also need to make sure you are using the correct Question type on your booking form. The question type must be  Phone number, and you need to check the box next to Mobile phone. This allows us to validate the number entered is a mobile number that can receive text messages.

Next, navigate to Notifications  > Actions and select the part of the workflow you'd like to send a SMS notification (after a new booking is made, if the booking is rescheduled, if the booking is cancelled, reminder before the booking, after the appointment is made).

Click the  + to create a new notification. Select SMS as the type of notification. If prompted, select SMS to booker.

  1. Edit the name of this notification so you can easily identify it in the Notifications section
  2. Select when you want the SMS to send
  3. From the dropdown menu, select the phone number from your booking form. If you collect more than one phone number on the booking form, select "Custom phone number" and enter the shorthand codes for each phone number you want to send an SMS, ie. {PHONE1}, {PHONE2} etc.
  4. Edit the message you want to send to your booker about this booking. Each SMS credit is 160 characters, and special characters may take more than one character. Check here to see how many credits your message will take.
