2FA is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are. First, a user will enter their username and password. Then, instead of immediately gaining access, they will be required to provide another piece of information.
In the case of your YouCanBookMe account, once you activate 2FA, you'll be prompted to enter a security code generated by your authentication app every time you log in to your account. If you enable 2FA on your YouCanBookMe account, be sure to read these instructions before switching or upgrading mobile devices.
Turning 2FA on
In your Account settings - select Password & Security. Toggle Two factor authentication to On.
Scan the QR code in the popup modal with your authenticator app on your mobile device, like Google Authenticator or Authy, and click Next.
You'll be prompted to enter the authentication code generated by your authenticator app, and click Activate.
Two factor authentication is now active on your account. You will need to use your authenticator app each time you login to YouCanBook.me.

My Google Authenticator codes don’t work
It may be because the time isn’t correctly synced on your Google Authenticator app.
- On your Android mobile device, go to the main menu of the Google Authenticator app.
- Tap More Settings Time correction for codes Sync now.
On the next screen, the app confirms the time has been synced. You should be able to sign in. The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.
