Our Gmail integration improves deliverability and ensures that emails can be sent from your custom email address without the security restrictions placed on private domains and @gmail.com addresses.
This feature is available on all plans.
Setting up your email integration through the YCBM application, allows you to directly send your booking-related emails from a Google-based email address. This means you will see all of your YCBM sent notifications in your Sent folder, so you can quickly locate an email if needed. Any "Out of office" replies or bounce-back messages will be delivered straight to you so you will know if a client hasn't received an email for any reason.
You can create a free Google email account, or use any Google Workplace email to integrate with YouCanBookMe.
Integrating your Gmail account
You can integrate multiple Gmail accounts on a YouCanBookMe account.
1. Navigate to your Dashboard, click the initials icon in the top right corner, and select Integrations.
If you already have Google Calendar integrated, you will see the option to integrate with Gmail. Or, you can scroll down to Integrations and extensions.
2. Click Connect next to the Gmail logo.
You will be redirected to your Google account page. Select the Google address you'd like to send emails from or choose "Use another account" to enter your account credentials.
3. Click Allow to give YouCanBookMe permission to send emails from your email address on your behalf.
You'll see a green pop-up confirming that the integration was successful, and the Gmail account will be listed among your Integrations and extensions.
Sending notifications from your Gmail account
Now that you've successfully integrated your Gmail account, review your notifications to ensure all emails are sent from your email address.
1. Edit the booking page settings > Notifications > Confirmation email to booker > Confirm the From email is your email address.
If necessary, click Edit to choose your email from the dropdown list.
Removing the Gmail Integration
You can remove the Gmail integration or select a different "from" email address in the Notifications setting.
1. To remove the integration, go to the Integrations page and click the three dots to disconnect.
If you disconnect the Google integration, that will remove the calendar integration as well which will impact your bookings. If you decide to do this, you will need to immediately add your calendar account again.
