Offer Discounts with Promotion Codes

Use Stripe's Promotion Codes feature to offer discounts for your services. Give either a percentage or a fixed amount off the listed price, which customers can redeem at the time of booking.

This feature is available on Professional and Teams plans.

Redeeming Codes

If you take payments at the time of booking, your clients will see the option to 'add a code'. When they enter a valid code, Stripe will automatically charge them the correct amount.

You will see details of the transaction on your Stripe dashboard. 

Integrating your Stripe account with YouCanBookMe

1. In your YCBM dashboard, access your account settings and select Integrations.

2. Click on the Stripe integration and connect your account using your Stripe credentials.

Create Promotions in Stripe

1. Coupons set the rules for the discount.

• Name
• Percent or fixed amount discount
• How long the discount is available
• The date range for the discount
• The number of times the discount can be used

2. Codes are the codes you give to clients that match the different discounts you offer. You could use both SPRING24 and FBOFFER codes linked to the same Coupon if they follow the same rules. Codes can be limited to

• specific customers
• specific transactions
• number of times it can be used
• minimum order value
• expiration date

Set up Coupons and Codes

In your Stripe account, head to the Product section and select Coupon, or click this link

1. Click on Create a coupon, or + New 

2. Select the options for both Coupons and Codes. 

3. Select Save Coupon.

4. Go back to the Coupon page, and click "Add a promotion code" to activate the promo code. Type the name of the promo code and select the relevant settings (e.g., add an expiration date).

5. Send the Codes to your customers in an email, add it to your social media, or on your website.
