Why would you need to change your calendar integration?
- You are transferring ownership of your YouCanBookMe to someone else
- Your company has changed its domain name, meaning a change for your email address
- You are moving from Google Calendar to Outlook 365, or vice versa
Just a few steps before you make the change can help to avoid any disruption:
Make sure any future bookings are copied or recreated in the new calendar
If you remove or delete the calendars that YouCanBook.me is looking at for your availability, you're also removing the calendars that YouCanBook.me is adding your bookings to. If we can't see the events anymore, the booking will be marked as canceled on your account Bookings page and we won't send any reminders or follow-up emails about that booking.
Copy all of the existing events that have been booked through YouCanBook.me to the new calendar you want to integrate. You can do this in the Google Calendar event, click "More Actions", then Change Owner and enter the email address of your new calendar account.
Alternatively, you can export all of your calendar data into an .ics file, and then import them to the new calendar.
In Outlook, it isn't possible to reassign the event directly. You need to recreate the events manually, keeping the YCBM ref link in the body of the email, or you can try exporting the events to the new calendar
When this is done, YouCanBook.me will still be able to see the existing booked events when the new calendars are linked.
Make the changes to your account
Once the events have been moved to your new target calendar, you can make the needed changes to your YouCanBook.me account including:
- Updating the account email address
- Change your integrated calendar account
- Change the calendar that your booking page is linking to
- Change the email addresses in your booking notifications & reminders
