YCBM data export files cannot be opened in a Safari browser, as they will look like the screenshot below. Safari cannot format .csv files properly. To resolve this issue, open the file in Chrome, Firefox, or IE 11, and the .csv will download in the proper format, and you can open the file in your preferred spreadsheet program.
Importing the file to Google Sheets:

Open Google Sheets
- Go to Google Sheets and log in.

Create or Open a Spreadsheet
- Start a new blank spreadsheet or open an existing one.

Import the CSV File
- Click "File" > "Import" and open the Import File dialog.

Upload the CSV File
- Choose "My Drive" for Google Drive files, "Shared with me" for shared files, or "Upload" to select a file from your device.

Configure Import Settings
- Select import location, separator type, and whether to convert text to numbers, dates, and formulas.

Review and Clean Up the Data
- Adjust column widths, apply formatting, and clean up any inconsistencies.
Importing the file to Excel:

Open Microsoft Excel
- Launch Excel on your Mac and open a new blank workbook or an existing one.

Open the CSV File
- Go to "File" > "Open" and browse to locate your CSV file.
- Ensure "All Files" is selected in the file type dropdown to see CSV files.

Import the CSV File
- Select the CSV file and click "Open."
- The Text Import Wizard will appear.

Use the Text Import Wizard
- Step 1: Choose "Delimited" and click "Next."
- Step 2: Select the delimiter (usually a comma) and click "Next."
- Step 3: Choose the data format for each column (General is default) and click "Finish."

Review and Clean Up the Data
- Adjust column widths, apply formatting, and clean up any inconsistencies.
Importing the file to Numbers (Mac):

Open Apple Numbers
- Launch Numbers on your Mac and open a new blank spreadsheet or an existing one.

Import the CSV File
- Go to "File" > "Open" and locate your CSV file.
- Select the CSV file and click "Open."

Adjust Import Settings
- Numbers typically imports the CSV file automatically. Review the imported data to ensure it appears correctly.
