Setting up your Booking Form

YouCanBookMe includes a fully-featured form builder. This allows you to easily, add, edit, and rearrange questions on your booking page. You can set required questions and create a wide range of question field types. 

This feature is available on all our plans, including the Free one.

Setting up and editing your Booking form

In your Settings pages, go to the Booking Form Questions.  You'll see 3 standard questions we add to any booking page. You can rearrange the order, edit or delete these questions, or click Add question to add an additional question. You can add as many questions as you need (free accounts can add up to 7).

Adding a question 

Click Add Question and an expanded question item will appear. 

• Question type will help format your question - multiple choice, phone number, long text. You can see a full list of question types here.
• Label is the question that your bookers will see. You can add additional text after the question.
• Shorthand code will be used to pull through information your booker enters into your confirmation emails and calendar events
• Required questions cannot be skipped by the booker

Delete or reorder the questions

• Click the trash can icon for the question you would like to delete
• Click Delete question to confirm
• Use the up/down arrows on the left side of the question to reorder questions on your booking form

The power of shorthand codes

Using shorthand codes is an easy way to personalize your booking process. When editing a question you can enter a tag for that question which can then be used later in the booking process. For example, if you're asking for a First name, consider using FNAME. 

When you send your confirmation or reminder emails you could start them with Dear {FNAME} creating a personal email for every visitor who books you. For more tips and tricks about using shorthand codes visit our shorthand codes guide.

1. Can I create unlimited booking form questions?

• If you're on our Free or Individual plan, you can create up to 7 questions. But if you upgrade to our Professional or Team plans, you'll be able to create unlimited booking form questions.
